Who gave the Permission--It's not a question.

Some years ago I did a piece for the San Francisco Public Library (I think you can still find it: http://sfpl.org/index.php?pg=2000035601 or you can also google me): "Reversing Vandalism". In my piece, largely about Mathew Shepard and an event at the Library where an individual had "slashed" Books referencing LGBT or Feminist topics, I rhetorically asked, "Who gave the Permission?" and included images of the last Bush and John Ashcroft.

Watching CNN and checking out postings on "Huffington Post", I am not looking forward to the possibility of making another work when someone, influenced by the Republican "hate-speech" of the last few days, or the "Rifle -Sights" that Sarah Palin seems amused by, lets their hate for "others", the "niggers" or "fags" (their words not mine) walking to their seats in the US House of Representatives perhaps, get out of control.
