Home & the Holidays

"The Holidays" . . . Starting on October 31st and through the New- Year . . . & this year, the concept of Home. While I give "Thanks" Everyday that I made-it-through, this Thanksgiving reminded me of a simple fact . . . the kind you forget: Home is where your plate is as full , your drink is as good, and no one is trying to teach you a lesson.

November 22nd, 1963, playing in my yard on a school-day--absent that day as I was often from unfriendly places--my mother called from the kitchen window: "The President has been shot."
